Mar. 3, 2026 - China’s black silicon carbide smelting enterprises are mainly located in Gansu and Ningxia. There are also several smelting enterprises in Inner Mongolia and Qianghai. And numerous processing companies are located in Henan and Shandong. Refwin makes a latest survey for nationwide black silicon carbide smelting enterprises and output, production capacity data in 2025 are as below.

Total China’s production capacity of black silicon carbide is approximately 2.03 million tons, with an output of about 1.36 million tons in 2025, and the overall capacity utilization rate is around 67.3%.

Among them, total annual production capacity in Gansu region is approximately 1.01 million tons, with an output of 710,000 tons in 2025, and the capacity utilization rate is about 70.3%.

Total annual production capacity in Ningxia region is approximately 740,000 tons, with an output of 450,000 tons in 2025, and the capacity utilization rate is about 61.1%.

Total annual production capacity in Inner Mongolia is approximately 180,000 tons. In 2025, the output is 120,000 tons, with a capacity utilization rate of about 66.6%.

Total annual production capacity in Qinghai region is approximately 95,000 tons. In 2025, the output is 80,000 tons, with a capacity utilization rate of about 84.2%.
