Jun. 27, 2025 - The Cabinet of Japan’s Ministry of Finance has enacted a Cabinet Order relating to definitive anti-dumping duties on graphite electrodes originating in the People’s Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as “China”).

The objective of enacting this Cabinet Order is to impose definitive anti-dumping duties on graphite electrodes originating in China. This is because, in the investigation conducted upon receipt of an application requesting the imposition of anti-dumping duties, it was found that dumped products have been imported, and such importation has caused material injury, etc., to the domestic industry; thus, it is necessary to protect this domestic industry.
